Youth Minister/Director, Medfield, MA

Youth Minister/Director—Full time, beginning January 2015

Are you passionate about working with a church that is committed to connecting students in intergenerational relationships that will help them take their faith into their adult years? The United Church of Christ in Medfield, Mass., is a Trinitarian, congregational church, committed to discipleship and service. Our student ministry currently consists of more than 80 middle school students and 45 high school students. We have an enthusiastic team of small group leaders who work with our student small groups and a staff that is committed to finding new ways for faith to stick with students into young-adulthood.

This position is very flexible at the moment. We are willing to work with the right person to figure out what works.

Primary Responsibilities for this Position:

  • Provide leadership for Middle School Ministries (including 8th grade confirmation)
  • Provide leadership for High School Ministries (including 9th grade confirmation)
  • Equip volunteer leaders
  • Meet with students and parents as needed to provide support
  • Coordinate all communications around student registrations and events

Reports To:

  • Associate Pastor, Rev. Karen Munn


  • Actively engaged in growth as a disciple of Jesus Christ
  • Ability to relate to and listen to students
  • Strong administrative, verbal, and written communication skills
  • College graduate (seminary a plus)
