Placing a Work Order

Student Residents

If you have a problem in your room, or notice a problem in your residence hall, please let your resident representative know so that they can put in a work order. If you would like to put in a work order yourself for a problem in your room, please follow the instructions under "On-Line Work Request Form" below. Any building-wide problem should be reported to your resident reprepresentative to help eliminate duplicate requests.

Faculty and Staff

Please use the link under "On-Line Work Request Form" below to submit any work orders or maintenance requests. If you simply have a question about a building or grounds issue, please e-mail either Frank Cavaco (.(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)) or Patricia Phipps (.(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)).

In the case of theft, assault, fire, break-in, injury, or other potentially life-threatening emergencies, do NOT call the Buildings & Grounds Office. Call the Newton Police Department (617-796-2100), the Newton Fire Department (617-796-2210), or dial 911.

If you have a building emergency (leaks, overflowing toilets, no heat, or other situation needing immediate attention) please call the Building & Grounds Office (617-831-2424) during normal business hours (Mon. – Fri. 8:00 am – 3:30 pm). Please leave a detailed message if you do not get a person. If you are calling after-hours or on a holiday or weekend, please call the after-hours answering service (1-800-505-9459).
